Liz and Jesse are two warm, family oriented people. You could tell how important family was to them since their 230 guest wedding was comprised of almost all family members!
There was no doubt in my mind that Liz would make a stunning bride! Our engagement session in San Francisco was so much fun, and I learned then that the camera loves her!
It was a beautiful day, planned by the talented Vienna of MVP Events. Congrats Liz & Jesse!
Isn’t it awesome when both the look of a wedding and the people exceed expectations?
Well, that’s what happened with Lauren and Matt. You won’t meet nicer people. Bonus- they have great taste and put on a fabulous wedding. I mean, I’m a sucker for gold and black in wedding decor. Check, check!
The Carneros Inn isn’t just a beautiful resort with stunning grounds in the heart of wine country, it also has a big white room where you can take photos when it’s 100 degrees outside.
The clouds created a blanket over the ceremony site, dipping the temperature ever so slightly.
The decor of the cocktail area and reception room was so good!
Such a fabulous event with amazing people. Here’s to a lifetime of stars aligning.
Genny and Kilee are right for each other. I’m not going to say “meant for each other”, because “right” is just too appropriate. They love obscure musicals, Halloween stores, antiquing, animals, dancing, cooking, singing, and rollercoasters. It was actually on both their lists of things they wanted to find in a partner before meeting each other. Rollercoasters and musicals were their deal-breakers.
Their awesome dogs Wallaby and Atticus were so sweet and well behaved, and even wore outfits for their job as ring bearers!
Their friend Kaytie Hensley of White Willow Creations made Genny’s tie. Special touches like this make everything better.
Genny found all of the driftwood and carved their initials in them for the centerpieces. She described how they wanted their wedding to be as “Vintage/Rustic/Old timey/weird”. When I see “weird”, I know some good stuff lies ahead!
The emotional and beautiful ceremony was under tall trees in a grove below the Union Hotel.
One of the best elements of the wedding was the music! They played movie theme music before and after the ceremony and everyone got to play trivia throughout the day to guess the songs- which isn’t easy when there is absolutely no wifi. After the first kiss, they walked out to the Indiana Jones theme (insert heart eyes emoji here)!
The second half of the first dance was the Dirty Dancing choreography and they KILLED IT. At the end, friends and family jumped in and did the flash mob style dance from the movie. I cannot tell you how happy this made me.
Kilee is a beautiful singer and performed “I’m gonna love you” to Genny.
The toasts were meaningful and heartfelt,
and Kilee’s family performed a skit (a Cooper family tradition) of their love story to the theme of The Wizard of Oz. It was AWESOME.
The night went on just as they wanted it to- dancing until people pass out.
Genny and Kilee, it was an honor to be part of your day and to experience something really special.
Donna and Chris had one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever witnessed- and it was awesome! It was a costume wedding modeled after the game “Civilization”, and the best part about it is that family and friends took it seriously and really came in character. You could tell that it meant so much to them, and isn’t that what weddings are supposed to be about?
