Christina and Shane got married way up North past Truckee in a beautiful place called the Chalet View Lodge. What looks like a Summer camp for families, they exchanged vows on a dock over a pond with a kayak and tall pine trees and bench seating. Pretty ideal if you ask me. They are easy going, fun-loving people who just wanted everyone to have a good time.
I hadn’t met Christina and Shane before their wedding day, or even spoken to either of them on the phone. It’s one of those wonderful connections where a fellow wedding photographer was a bridesmaid in one of my past weddings, and recommended me to her friend who was getting married. Word of mouth really is the best thing ever.
Shane is a soccer coach, and he and his groomsmen were up for a fun and silliness the whole day. They posed themselves like this while I was shooting the bridesmaids, and I turned around and got this shot. Love it!
Wishing you both the best in your future together!
When I met up in Mendocino with Katelyn and Mark at their family property for Engagement photos, it really was a special place for them (where they go abalone diving, fly their plane up for weekends with their dog, and enjoy the ocean view), but it ended up being a place where I got to know them and their special bond. These are kind, thoughtful, and wonderful people. They even sent me a couple of bottles of wine as a Thank You from wineries on their way home.
I was extra blown away to have documented their wedding, which was even more amazing than I was prepared for. The first official event held at the BEAUTIFUL Davis Ranches, and designed by Philip Rice, it looked like something Martha Stewart herself would have planned.

Congrats you two. I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
Katherine is such a little beauty! I can’t wait to take her photos as she grows. What a beautiful family, and I love how Marie and David’s first (4-legged) daughter, Chewy, was able to join in on the photos. Not all dogs are this cooperative and well behaved, that’s for sure!
I’m so excited for Justin and Tracy’s June wedding, it sounds like it’s going to be so beautiful. They love fine food, wine, friends and family, so the location they close (Wente Vineyards) is a perfect spot for the French country feel they’re going for. It’s also one of my favorite venues, and they have the absolute best food!
We were able to get out to the lupine right before it was gone at the end of April. All the purple and yellow wildflowers really go with their wedding colors, so it was perfect!
Michael and Meghan are so in love, it’s infectious. They are so kind and warm to each other, and everyone around them. Also? Amazing attitudes. When faced with a rain forecast Meghan’s response was- “I’m not worried!” They are a perfect example of why two people should become lifelong partners.

I loved this spot for the bridal party photos!
This was a fun one for me since it was basically in my backyard! I walk through these woods and trails all the time, so it was a pleasure to be able to light them up and create a beautiful forest vibe for their final portraits.
Congrats Michael & Meghan!
