When I met up in Mendocino with Katelyn and Mark at their family property for Engagement photos, it really was a special place for them (where they go abalone diving, fly their plane up for weekends with their dog, and enjoy the ocean view), but it ended up being a place where I got to know them and their special bond. These are kind, thoughtful, and wonderful people. They even sent me a couple of bottles of wine as a Thank You from wineries on their way home.
I was extra blown away to have documented their wedding, which was even more amazing than I was prepared for. The first official event held at the BEAUTIFUL Davis Ranches, and designed by Philip Rice, it looked like something Martha Stewart herself would have planned.
Venue: Davis Ranches | Event Planning & Florals: Philip Rice | Photography: GVP | Makeup: Happily Beautiful | Catering: Rocco’s Colusa/Zebra Club | Cake: Upper Crust Bakery | Ice Cream Cart: Rich’s Ice Cream Catering | DJ: TSP DJ | Paper Goods: TLD Invitations
A gift for Katelyn from Mark- handmade frames from reclaimed wood they used for signage at the wedding.
Katelyn secretly had their dog arrive for a few photos as a surprise for Mark.
My beautiful former bride Claire was a bridesmaid!
Every need for guests was thought of- from golf carts that transported you from the parking area down the streamer-lined paths to the foot of the aisle.
Katelyn arrived in a classic car for her first time seeing Mark.
I mean, just look at those trees and all that filtered light. NOTE TO FUTURE COUPLES: This is ideal ceremony light!
I really couldn’t believe the amount of different florals and the uniqueness and abundance of it all. Bravo Philip Rice!
The guests lit up the dance floor with their phones!
Mark is such a funny, sweet, family oriented guy. The dance with his Mom had everyone laughing- and he flipped Katelyn during their first dance!
Congrats you two. I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
