I got together with this family that I’ve gotten to know over the last year that I absolutely adore and they humored my idea of taking some photos on the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament’s stairs in downtown Sacramento. The goal was to get a shot that I wanted to blow up and frame for their dining room, but of course the kids were too adorable for me to take just one shot.
I mean, come on. Check out those baby thighs.
Shortly after Eli stuck his head between the railing, he thought he was stuck and had to be coached out.
We got the shot, so I enlarged it and mounted it on the same kind of material I’ve printed my fine art photos on and hung it in their dining room. It just so happened that the color scheme went perfectly.
One of the things that I think I have to offer is that I know how to put a room together, and I know what kind of accents (photographs, frames, art) will work in the appropriate scales and subjects. I really like square formats, as well as large scale photos. So this was a great experiment, and I’m really happy with it.
There is a pearl coated finish on the photo that gives it a sheen and a protection.
